Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-29. This page's wording is being finalized as part of a legal review; see the note in the file history of this page in our repository.

Summary

ChannelKeep is a parent-controlled app for watching YouTube videos from channels a parent has chosen. These terms cover the account you hold with us, the subscription you buy through Apple or Google, and the ordinary rules of using the service. They do not cover a child's use directly, because there is no child account -- see our Child Data Notice and Privacy Policy for how we handle that.

Who we are

These terms are between you and Vouch SARL, based in Morocco, which operates ChannelKeep.

The account is a parent's account

Only a parent or legal guardian may create a ChannelKeep account. The account holder is responsible for the devices they pair, the channels they choose, and for supervising how the service is used in their household. There is no separate account, login, or profile for a child; a "device" is the unit the app manages, not a person.

What the service does

ChannelKeep lets an account holder choose specific YouTube channels and pair devices that can watch videos from those channels. Video playback is provided by YouTube, embedded through YouTube's own player -- see the Privacy Policy for what that connection means for data collected by Google.

Subscriptions

  • ChannelKeep is offered on a subscription basis, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, whichever store you downloaded the app from.
  • Your subscription auto-renews unless you cancel it before the renewal date, following the standard cancellation process for whichever store you subscribed through.
  • We do not process payment ourselves and cannot see your card details -- Apple or Google handles billing directly, per their own respective terms.
  • Deleting your ChannelKeep account does not cancel your store subscription. Apple and Google continue to bill an active subscription until it is cancelled directly with them; we have no technical means to cancel it on your behalf. The app explains how to cancel with Apple or Google at the point you delete your account.

Acceptable use

You agree to use ChannelKeep only for its intended purpose: choosing channels and managing devices for your own household. You agree not to attempt to circumvent the app's controls, to use the service to violate YouTube's own terms of service, or to use the service in any way that is unlawful or that infringes another party's rights.

Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may update these terms as the service changes. Where a change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to give notice inside the app.

Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app; doing so removes your account and its data immediately, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that misuses the service or that we reasonably believe violates these terms.

Disclaimer and limitation

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not control YouTube's own catalog, availability, or ad delivery, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to it. Beyond the ordinary limits that apply to any software service, we are not making broader promises about liability here -- specific governing-law and liability language is being finalized as part of our legal review (see the repository note on this page).
